Literature Text

I can still see you in there, the man with whom I fell in love.
I wish I could reach you, buried with six feet above.

It is not dirt that holds you, but anger, pride and fear.
I have shovelled to exhaustion, my efforts are sincere.

For each clump of earth I move, you pull two more down.
I only wish to comfort and free you from where you're bound.

Soon I will collapse despairing; all my resolve wasted and dead.
Who will be the one to toss numbing soil upon my head?
It is a simple couplet and was fun to write~

A strong delivery with evident sincerity. A most potent write. Thankyou for sharing.
