Literature Text

The Lady may protest too much,
But me thinks that the man protests too little.

Her protest doth reek desire,
His of blasé silence screams.

When her proclamation apprised,
Had he but one protest made.

Full of love she walks abroad,
Straining for his protestation.

All protests are at rest,
Love lay dormant, never dead.

The only protest that remains,
Slumbers within her heart.

Sometimes the slightest word makes all the difference!  Inspired by the like from Hamlet!
